Fields - album Fields 1969

  • 2 anni fa
Not to be confused with the UK progressive band with the same name, Fields were a short-lived American power trio , who's sole self-titled album was quickly prized by collectors. Their sound was equally influenced by heavy psych-acid rock, blues and soul, with even traces of funk. Grinding guitars, with brass and strings arrangements here and there and Brenda Holloway & The Raelettes on backing vocals. The album was better known for the 18-minute epic crazy-fest "Lost in the word" that takes up the entirety of Side Two, a long ride that is the sum of the styles that built the album.

Richard Fortunato - guitar, vocals.
Patrick Burke - bass, vocals.
Steven Lagana - drums, vocals.
Brenda Holloway, The Raelettes - backing vocals, chorus.
Bill Rinegart, Gene Page - special arrangements (brass & strings).

Elysian Fields.
Bide my time.
Take you home.
Jump on you.
Sun would set.
Love is the word.
