Aida Luz Careaga Duran, a teacher from the town of Tupiza, invested part of her salary in biosecurity measures so that her students can attend class in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.
The teacher, who has been doing this job for 16 years, believes that virtual lessons do not give the same results as face-to-face lessons, and therefore she decided to allocate part of her salary to the installation of protective cubicles in the classroom desks where she gives the classes.
The cubicles are made of wood and nylon, as this is a more accessible and less dangerous material than glass, but which complies with the necessary sanitary measures to protect each of its students.
