New York City shrouded in darkness as power cuts out

New York City residents woke up confused after the city was left in darkness by power cuts on August 7.
The filmer told Newsflare: "I was asleep and I heard sounds coming from the street of people saying it's a blackout.
"I looked outside and it was pitch black. I've never seen anything like this in the 10 years I've been here. I went up to the rooftop and this is what I saw."
