Hong Kong store owner rejects order to take down pro-democracy protest statue

A children’s clothing store inside a Tsuen Wan mall has refused an order to take down a pro-democracy statue. A line of customers was seen outside the store on June 18, 2020, after news spread that the D Park mall that housed the store asked for the statue to be taken down.  The landlord, Discovery Park Commercial Services Ltd, cited a contract clause that said decorations needed approval and holding "an exhibition" without a licence may be in breach of the law and going beyond the purpose of…
