Are Only 2% of Sexual Assault Allegations False?

Ever since the #MeToo movement took off, it has been widely claimed that only 2% of sexual assault allegations are false. Even if this were true, it would not be an excuse to deny due process to those accused of sexual assault. However, an examination of the very sources that supposedly establish this fact show that it is not true at all. False sexual assault allegations are in fact quite common.
