MIAMI — Miami Gardens police are investigating a robbery where thieves swiped wigs worth up to $80,000.

Thieves looted the store of its merchandise around 2:30 am on September 17th.

Prime Trading Hair and Wigs owner, Rakib Hossain told CBS4 he received a call from his alarm company alerting him of the break-in.

Houssian believes the criminals knew exactly what they were doing and exactly what they were looking for when they backed their U-Haul truck into the front door, ramming it three times before breaking in.

Houssian told reporters that he believes up to four criminals were involved in the heist and that the entire robbery lasted no longer than five minutes.

He added that some wigs he stocks are "very exclusive" and worth up to $800, however, he said he was insured for his losses.

According to CBS Miami, the crime itself is very similar to a robbery of a similar motive, thieves plundered a store just opposite Prime Trading Hair and Wigs two weeks before; the thieves stole up to $100,000 worth of products including wigs.
