Tamil Nadu fishermen on strike against Lanka

After pressure from India, Colombo has released 34 fishermen from its jail some time back. 34 fishermen were brought to the local court in Sri Lanka and the magistrate warned the Indian fishermen not to ventrue out in Lankan waters in future. Now, the fishermen are in Indian embassy and they will return to Rameswaram tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, Angry fishermen in Rameswaram have convened a meeting and have decided to go for indefinite strike from today to release 19 of their fishermen were arressted by Lankan navy. They said until the release of their people, they will not venture into the sea. The family members of fishermen,who were caught by Lankan navy demaned both centre and state govt to intervene the issue and get back their men from Sri Lanka.
