PM to hold dinner meet for allies today - NewsX

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is all set to host a dinner for UPA leaders this evening. The agenda for the dinner meet is to try and firm up a joint strategy on various issues, including the govt's executive decision to allow foreign direct investment in multi-brand retail. The Prime Minister has already held talks with Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati at a lunch last Sunday. Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah had met the Prime Minister earlier last week.
