Praful Patel denies changing plane to accommodate family- NewsX

After allegations of deploying a larger aircraft to fly his own family, former civil aviation minister Praful Patel has out rightly denied the allegations in a statement released from his office. Statement says that he had no knowledge or information about any change in type of aircraft to accommodate his family members. A Government reply to an RTI application says that in April 2010 seven business class seats were booked on the IC-965 flying from Bangalore to Male. Air India then switched to a bigger aircraft, A320, that had 20 business class seats, to accommodate seven in-laws of Patel's daughter Avni.
