England Prepare For Euro 2016 In Chantilly - Daniel Sturridge & Kyle Walker Speak

Daniel Sturridge and Kyle Walker are confident England can get off to a winning start after coming through their first training session in France on Tuesday (7th June) ahead of the start of Euro 2016.

The England squad trained at their Euro 2016 base in Chantilly for the first time on Tuesday.

Roy Hodgson's men were welcomed to the sports complex by children who sang the English national anthem 'God Save the Queen'.

Locals watched on as Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and the rest of the squad practiced ahead of their opening Group B game against Russia this Saturday.

England are in fine form having won all 10 of their qualifiers and their three most recent friendly matches.

They have never won the opening game of a European Championship finals but Daniel Sturridge and Kyle Walker are confident this England squad can change that.

"We have a lot of strength in the squad and we're looking forward to it all gelling together and hopefully going out there and having some success," said Sturridge.

"We just need to go out there and play the game that the gaffer wants us to play. Hopefully that will get us the results that we need," added Walker.

Following the Russia game England will then meet Wales in Lens on 15th June before facing Slovakia in Saint-Etienne on 19th June.
