Fitting Driveaway Camper Van Awning Rail | The Carpenter's Daughter

Hi all!

As we've finally had some really lovely weather, I thought it was time to start tinkering on our camper van to get ready for Summer.

So in this video, I share how I installed a C-section awning rail for our Mercedes Vito side awning.

We have a figure of 8 attachment, so we can drive away and leave the awning freestanding on a campsite.

Also, here's an affiliate link to the awning rail, but *PLEASE* use different self tapping screws as two of mine sheared off!

(If you look at the reviews, other people have had the same problem and also question whether they are self tapping in fact!)
