Verona is so richly endowed with picturesque streets and squares, art and architecture, it is hardly possible to imagine a city that has a more appealing character. It is, quite rightly, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Verona’s history is well illustrated by famous monuments and buildings. The amphitheater, built around 30ad, is the third largest in the Italy and there are other Roman remains, such as a theater and the rebuilt Gavi Arch.
