Miss Iraq forced to flee country over picture with Miss Israel

Miss Iraq, Sarah Idan, and her family are forced to flee their home country after she posted a selfie with Miss Israel, Adar Gandelsman. Now, Idan and her family are receiving death threats over the photo. Idan later apologized for the photo on Instagram claiming the image was not a political statement. "[It] does not signal support for the government of Israel and does not mean I agree or accept its policies in the Arab homeland.” Sarah Idan wrote on Instagram Idan also received death threats for a wearing a bikini in the pageant.
