Samba de Maria Alice
Samba de Maria Alice is a band from Sao Paulo which started in 2014. Formed by four friends with different music influences, the band's purpose is to mix different types of music, such as brazilian alternative, samba, rock, folk, MPB, bossa with lyrics in English and Portuguese.
The band is recording five songs, all self-compositions, in the format of EP. Each song is being separately released through the group's soundcloud, so the public can listen to each one and see the differences between styles.

All versions are being recorded and produced by the own musicians as a collective experience of creation, with the lyrics being composed by the vocalist and the melodies by the band.
The song "Mar" makes a tribute for Brazilian composers Joao do Vale and Caetano Veloso: "Carcará pega mata e come / Carcará mais coragem do que home".
