Hyenas chew on tourist vehicle in Kruger Park, South Africa

A curious group of hyenas approached this safari vehicle as they were given a tour of the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The video, shot on November 16, shows the hyenas observing and biting the truck before the guide is forced to scare them away.

"Hyenas are born to chew. The vehicle’s tyres, mud flaps and stepping panels clearly looked inviting," the filmer wrote online.

"Hyenas have the strongest bite force of any animal on this planet. Letting them continue will leave your vehicle full of scratches and possibly a flat tyre or two."

"I have seen them biting through bumpers and tear number plates to shreds," he added.
