Emergency services on scene as Cumbria's River Eden bursts banks

Video filmed this morning (November 23) showing the effect of last night's torrential rain in Appleby in Cumbria.
In the video, first responders are on the scene and water rises up to the very front of several houses.
Writes the filmer: "Last night's torrential rains have filled the River Eden to breaking point as the emergency services brace themselves for yet another potential flood situation."
Local residents were said to have been deploying flood gates and other defences to keep out water, according to a local report.
