Cyclone Cook Sweeps Across Omokoroa

Some local residents in New Zealand’s Western Bay of Plenty were choosing to evacuate their homes on April 13, the New Zealand Herald said, as Cyclone Cook swept through. Some 2,000 homes were without power.Fire crews and emergency services were dealing with landslides, flooding and downed trees, local spokespersons were saying.
