Sister Sledge member Joni Sledge dies at 60

Joni Sledge, one of the founding stars of the vocal group Sister Sledge, passed away on Friday. The 60-year-old was found dead in her home in Phoenix, according to her publicist Bliff Warren. Sledge's death came as surprise to family, friends, and fans as the star was not ill. The cause of death is still unknown. Sister Sledge is known for their 1979 dance hit "We Are Family" as well as "He's the Greatest Dancer," and "My Guy." "Please pray for us as we weep for this loss.
