'Rogue One' brings in $71M US debut on Friday

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" garnered $71 million on Friday, including the $29 million in Thursday grosses. The sum marks the film as the biggest “preview” figure of 2016. As for Friday's debut, it's the third-biggest of the year behind Captain America: Civil War and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. CinemaScore also gave the film an "A" grade, for both genders and across all ages.
