Some of the busiest airports in the country joined forces to tell the TSA to speed things up In a letter, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey explained that nearly 126 million passengers travel through their major airports each year and long lines are costly The letter said the Port Authority is exploring the idea of switching to a private security screening company instead This isn’t the first threatening letter the TSA received recently Atlanta’s international airport may be shopping around as well after frustrating wait times
