Korean bank branches have closed in record numbers as customers increase their use of mobile and online banking.
The Bank of Korea says the number of bank branches fell to the lowest level in five years last year to 7-thousand 433 branches.
That's around 270 branches fewer than the previous year.
In comparison, the number of people who have signed up for smartphone banking last year surpassed 4-thousand 8-hundred... which is up 30-percent from the previous year.
