Police detain Kremlin critic Navalny at rally

Russian dissident Alexei Navalny posts a Twitter photo of him breaking house arrest, vowing to join protesters in a government opposition rally.
He was soon detained by police for breaking house arrest.
It came shortly after after a Russian court sentenced him for embezzling money.
He addressed his supporters outside the courthouse.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) RUSSIAN OPPOSITION LEADER ALEXEI NAVALNY, SAYING:
"This power does not deserve to exist, it should be destroyed. I am calling today on everybody to take to the streets, I'm calling to take to the streets until the power which tortures innocent people is not removed."
In Moscow, opposition protesters brave freezing temperatures with thousands registered online to join the protest.
Navalny led protests against Russian President Vladimir Putin three years ago, when tens of thousands took to the streets to fight corruption.
