Arrests made in New York protests

A handful of people were arrested in New York City during a second night of protests over a court decision not to indict a police officer who choked an unarmed black man to death in July.

Hundreds of people in New York City blocked traffic at several different intersections throughout the city.

The protests are in response to a grand jury decision on Wednesday not to indict white police officer Daniel Pantaleo.

Pantaleo was trying to arrest Eric Garner, a black man, for allegedly selling cigarettes illegally on Staten Island.

An investigation is ongoing into how Garner was arrested.
