Police in Washington D.C. have released surveillance footage showing three suspects burglarizing an apartment. On Wednesday, the trio entered the home and walked around while scoping out the victim, Tommy Rossman’s items.

All three men were wearing gloves as they picked things up and shuffled them around. The burglars browsed through the apartment with ease, as if they had all the time in the world.

Lifting couch cushions, tugging wires, grabbing Rossman’s belongings – they did it all right in the dropcam’s view. Initially, it didn’t seem like they were aware the camera was pointed at them, as they stood in front of it while facing the device.

Fortunately for investigators, the footage captured their features and it’s strikingly clear. The men made off with laptops, watches and a number of other electronic items, including the camera that recorded their movements and faces.

Rossman remarked “So even though they took the camera with them, I still have the video in the cloud and I was able to give it to the police.” Thanks to the quality recording, cops are confident the suspects will be identified.

As for Rossman, he is thankful he didn’t walk in on the suspects during the burglary and that he’s safe.
