Winds uproot trees as storms sweep Sicily

Parts of Italy have been cleaning up after being battered by strong winds. In the city of Catania on the island of Sicily dramatic pictures have emerged of a narrow escape for one car as the tempest uprooted a tree which crashed to the ground. The driver escaped injury. The winds swept debris into the air as people were forced to take shelter indoors.
