Google India had first time launched a ‘digital literacy’ initiative campaign called ‘Helping Women Get Online’ (HWGO).A new social campaign launched in association with Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar’s initiative MARD, to increase internet literacy among women in the country. Farhan also collaborated with music duo Salim-Sulaiman , has put forth a music video on behalf of the MARD campaign, which essentially highlights the scarcity of women participants on the Internet and the need to encourage the same.
