Luka presents report - final super stage sss23 and onboards - Dani Sordo may have set his first fastest time in the rally (2:55.4) but Marcus Gromnholm is the one who celebrates his second consecutive win in the Championship. Sebastien Loeb finished second and Petter Solberg was third overall.
LOEB Sebastien / ELENA Daniel
“It was ok. The bad moment was the puncture we had yesterday. The stages were fine. Only Agia Sotira was too rough and Agii Theodori too long. I am not happy with the second place but there is nothing we can do now.”
GRONHOLM Marcus / RAUTIAINEN Timo
“We didn’t have any problems this weekend. I am very happy. The rally was much better than last year. Now we have expanded our lead in the championship but there is still a long way to go.”
HIRVONEN Mikko / LEHTINEN Jarmo
“I’ve enjoyed it. It was difficult because we had some problems. It was a warm weekend. All the stages were nice. Only the long stage was a bit problematic since the tires were overheated and worn out. I am happy with the fourth place.”
SOLBERG Petter / MILLS Philip
“I am very happy with the result. The rally was better than last year. I’ve appreciated the job that has been done by our team because the car is much better. It was a very rough weekend for everybody. Next year in Acropolis we will surely fight more.”
ATKINSON Chris / PREVOT Stephane
“The 2nd day was hard for us. But ok there is nothing we can do now. The stages were rough. But we expect that in Acropolis.”
LATVALA Jari Matti / ANTTILA Miika
“Now I am happy. We finally did it. It was a very nice rally. The service park was great and also the SSS. The only problem was that Ag.Theodori stage was too long and really hot and the tires were worn out. It would have been better if the stage was split in two. The Acropolis 2007 was better than last year.”
SOLBERG Henning / MENKERUD Cato
“The rally was good although there were good and bad stages. I liked it more as it was last year”.
