Baghdad blasts kill at least 10, wound dozens

A series of car bombs exploded across the Iraqi capital on Tuesday (May 13), killing at least 10 people in attacks that appeared to be co-ordinated to strike mainly Shi'ite Muslim districts, police sources said.
Five separate attacks targeted Baghdad's busy market areas, according to security sources.
In Sadr City, an impoverished Shi'ite district in Baghdad's northeast, three car bombs killed at least three people and wounded up to 26 others.
Residents assessed damage in the area where the charred wreckage of vehicles remained in the streets.
Another car bomb attack in Baghdad's Baladiyat neighborhood killed two people and wounded 13 more.
Car owners and local authorities removed badly damaged vehicles with burnt metal exteriors and broken windows from a parking lot in the area.
Other attacks struck Baghdad's northern Shi'ite district of Sha'ab and the central district of Karrada.
