STORY: Anti-government protests turned violent yet again in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas on Thursday as protesters threw rocks at police in the divided South American nation to bring down the government of President Nicolas Maduro.
Police responded by throwing tear gas to disperse the crowd.
Frustrated with economic and security issues, protesters have vowed to stay out on the streets as violent protests head into their second month.
President Nicolas Maduro says the protests are part of an attempt to trigger a coup, while his opponents accuse troops and pro-government militants of attacking demonstrators.
Back in 2002, anti-government activism helped to briefly topple socialist leader Hugo Chavez, who died from cancer last year.
There are no signs that the unrest could overthrow his government or force him to resign, despite widespread discontent with soaring inflation and rampant crime.
