Nicole Slack Jones was born in New Orleans. Her dad was a anointed Gospel saxophonist. And her mother, a gospel singer as well. Being that the legendary Fats Domino is a part of her family, music runs deep in her blood, and the apple don’t fall far from the tree.

In 2004, she was offered a part and accepted to play in the film titled «The fighting Temptations» starring Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. and multi Grammy Award winner Beyonce Knowles.

Legendary moments that were also dear to her was sharing the stage with other artist such as the great Percy Sledge, known for his number one hit «When A man Loves A Woman». Musical icon and multiple Grammy Award winner Stevie Wonder, Fats Domino, Jazz Organist Rhoda Scott, Davell Crawford, Aaron Neville and The Neville Family, Michelle Shocked, Byron Cage, Ahmed Fofana and most recently with Aloe Blacc, China Moses and Sly Johnson.

Seen and often reminded to many across the Atlantic as the God daughter of Aretha Franklin, Nicole Slack Jones loves to express what she feels deep from her soul. Passion, joy and amazing energy, is what she love to deliver when she is on the stage. Since the release of her debut album «Back To Roots» in 2008, she has thrilled audiences worldwide with more than 450 concerts since 2008. Headlining with her group Nicole Slack Jones and The Soul Sisters in the
most prestigious festivals and Jazz clubs: Jazz à Vienne, Jazz à Juan, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Festival de Hammamet, Roma Gospel Festival, Lionel Hampton Jazz Club, Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro and the latest at Enghien Jazz Festival where she opened for The Original Blues Brothers Band with 15,000 people.

She concentrates too on helping many around the world. With her manager Aurélie Gibaru developed a musical-social project intergenerational and intercultural, «i Sing».

It is natural that Nicole Slack Jones is preparing her New Album titled «The Original Mrs. Jones since 1979». Album colors of Soul / R&B.
