Immortals of Aveum is out now for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the EA app, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The single-player, first-person magic shooter uses cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5.1 technology to transport gamers to a cinematic new fantasy universe that blends modern characters and a story-driven campaign with thrilling magic action and a sprawling world of puzzles. Immortals of Aveum is being developed by a new independent developer studio consisting of seasoned members and award-winning industry veterans and will be published under the EA Originals label.
Immortals of Aveum tells the story of protagonist Jak (Darren Barnet), who finds out that he is a "gifted" with magic and is therefore dragged into the raging Eternal War against his will. The powerful General Kirkan (Gina Torres) and her elite order of battle mages - the Immortals - take Jak in and teach him to master the three colors of magic: blue, green and red. As powerful mages and armies of soldiers battle each other on both sides of the Eternal War, Jak must work with the Immortals to uncover the mysteries surrounding Aveum's troubled past if he is to turn the tide of the Eternal War and defeat Sandrakk, the powerful warlord of Rasharn, and his mysterious companion, the Hand.
