"Grizzly Bear's "Central and Remote", from last year's terrific Yellow House, is at once old-timey (the folksy melody), vaguely menacing ... all » (the rumbling, cinematic percussion), and delicately beautiful (the overlapping Brian Wilson harmonies). Directed by Jesse Ewles, the song's surreal video manages to capture all those qualities. It depicts an epic high-noon showdown, time and place unknown, between a flower-headed guy who plants flowers and a villainous figure with a machine gun. Well, duh. Just remember, if you will, the wisdom of Obi-Wan Kenobi: If you stomp on my flower head, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." - Pitchfork
