Lil Poopy's father is the subject of a child protection investigation over a controversial music video.

A new, up and coming rapper is causing some controversy. Deemed ‘Lil Poopy’, he is a 9-year-old boy from Brockton who recently released an adult-themed music video which can be seen online.

Many viewers were disturbed by the content, as the small rapper refers to himself as "Coke Boy" and he is seen riding in a Ferrari minus a seat belt and slapping a woman’s backside. The video has prompted an investigation by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families after police filed a complaint against the father, alleging neglect or child abuse.

The family’s Boston-based lawyer claims the probe is racially prompted. The attorney states “White child actors are depicted in far more serious scenes, including violence and sexual content, and they get awards. A young Hispanic male who raps - he gets an investigation.”

He also points out the fourth-grader goes to school every day and is very much liked by the teaching staff.

Last year, a music video went viral featuring a 6-year-old rapper. The song, titled ‘Booty Pop’ featured bikini-clad women shaking their backsides right next to the first grader’s head.

The child also squirted water on the girls. The boy’s parents willingly paid for the video in hopes that their child would become a star, but viewers were calling for child protection authorities to step in.
