"Placards and advertising" by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec

  • 12 лет назад
For his contemporaries, Lautrec was, first and foremost, a master of the psychological portrait and the creator of theatre posters.
In the course of 37 years of his life, he painted about 30 posters, having raised advertisement to the level of a real art.
Making use of the best achievements of the past generations of artists, he enriched this genre with new, genius discoveries.
Toulouse Lautrec’s placards and posters are considered to be the standard of mastery and are the forerunners of modern advertisement.
