Husband's Catchy Way to Help His Wife Find a Job - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Some husbands surprise their wives with romantic getaways or candlelight dinners. Then there’s another breed of hubbies who go for a more creative approach.

In an effort to show his support, Brandon Stuard set up the ‘Please Hire My Wife’ billboard. His wife, Holly Stuard lost her job last year at the University of Toledo following budget reductions. After repeated let downs during her job search, Brandon took matters into his own hands, unbeknownst to Holly. He says “I felt a sense of, she was getting a little frustrated. But I wanted to do something maybe to help lift her spirits if nothing else.” The sign shows a picture of Holly and gives some background information. Even though no solid job leads have come in yet, Holly has received many emails expressing support.

Earlier this year, another man took advantage of a billboard display. Joe Ferrari put an ad up stating, ‘Laurie, Will You Marry Me?’ along with a picture of their young son with a caption that read, ‘Mom, Please marry Dad.’ After taking a drive, Ferrari pulled over and let her read the sign. Luckily she said yes.
