Poland: Dispute over Atomic Power Plant | European Journal

Poland wants to build its first nuclear power plant near the German border. Protest is coming not only from politicians in Germany, but also from people living near the sites under consideration for constructing the plant. The citizens of Mielno on the coast of the Baltic Sea fear such a plant could spell the end of tourism there, and so they have voted against their government?s plans in a referendum.
