Along with luxury residential high-rises, New York also has publicly-funded residential construction for people with low incomes. Over the last 20 years, this has enabled some run-down neighborhoods to revive.
We accompany the architect and journalist Susanne Schindler on a tour and talk with residents, architects, project developers, and authorities about "affordable housing" in New York.
