BP's Hayward could walk with £11.8m in severance package

According to reports, the 53-year-old could walk away with a severance package that includes a £10.8 million ($16.7 million) pension from his 28 years at the company, and one year's salary, around £1.04 million ($1.6 million), for a total of £11.8 million. Managing Director Robert Dudley, the next CEO, would be the first non-British CEO to run BP.
