Following closely on the release of his 13th album, Compass, Joshua Redman discusses his place in the history of jazz with critic Gary Giddins.Joshua Redman has been an award-winning saxophonist and bandleader for over 15 years.His recordings include Wish, Moodswing, Beyond, and Elastic.Gary Giddins is the author of nine books, including Visions of Jazz: The First Century, for which he won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Criticism.
