Training for an Emergency | Global 3000 EN

UN peacekeepers are deployed in numerous regions all over the world. They supply aid to countries torn by conflict and create the conditions for lasting peace. Even though their efforts are not always successful, there are currently more Blue Helmets stationed around the world than ever before.
In 15 international missions, 120,000 soldiers and civilian personnel are doing what they can to maintain cease-fires and stabilize situations on the ground. The UN's humanitarian aid workers are often the first people on the scene in the wake of civil wars or armed conflicts. They need to be well-prepared for their missions - and this involves training in situations that are as realistic as possible.
