His performances are a mixture of originals and instrumental covers. Andrew Ellis' love for music started at an early age playing with the school band which was very successful in winning the state title in 1988 and 1989. This also included playing at the Sydney Opera House on more than one occasion. Andrew Ellis has recorded an EP, with a range of custom instruments he has made himself. These include an 8 string baritone tricone resonator, weissenborn guitar and 6 string acoustic guitars. Through Andrews business, Ellis Guitars, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the music business including Tommy Emmanuel, Steve Morse (Deep Purple), Sammy Merendino (Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, currently drumming for Cyndi Lauper), Joe Satriani and more. Andrew is known for presenting workshops, working at the Frankston Guitar Festival, Melbourne; Geraldton Guitar Festival; and the Custom Guitar Show, Perth. Andrew has also done numerous workshops at different music stores across Australia. Andrew Has been a guitar tech at some big festivals and venues such a day on the green, West Coast Blues 'n' Roots and Blues at bridgetown which has given him the chance to work with some of Australian best talent. Andrew's gigs around Perth include the major venues such as Fly by Night, Mojos, Indi Bar and many more.
