www.vidya.tv SCRIPT - The first time, I discovered it completely by surprise - an accident turned into an epiphany. It started with a look that turned into a stare. A smile that turned into a laugh. A touch that turned into a hold. We met in an old hotel, thrust deep into the highlands of Scotland, near a small town called Forres. We met. We hugged. By accident, I held on to the hold of another for just a little longer. Extra milliseconds turned into full, juicy seconds. Seconds "too long" to the casual observer. But something mysterious happened in that "too long". Strangers turned into dear old friends in just a few seconds, "too long" Just a hug. Just a little longer. Not just people anymore -- A veil was dropped and a polite meeting dropped its act alltogether. Allowing connections with tiger-like fiercity to forge between raw, real human beings. There were three of us and we laughed. Laughed everyday, dragging the laughter out a moment here, and a moment there, lasting it just a little longer. We ate a hundred meals of potatoes together, giving eachother hours longer to relish each dish. Hugs, of course, now stretched into minutes. Cups of tea lasted late into the night sky I got m ore and more out of each breath, each look, each tates, each sounds, each smell. More surprises, more joy. More giggles, wayy more fun. All with this little mantra - Just a Little Longer Slowing up to a child's pace, up to a wise old grandmother's Little children and the elders have a tempo to their movements, a measured easy slow-pokiness that is glorious to tap into. Even for just a kiss longer. Why do we have these unspoken standardized time limits on everything that we do? I don't know. Who taught me first that I should become uncomfortable if I held another's hand for a little too long? No one, actually Does it make me a rebel fighter for hugging a person a little longer than normal? Join the movement! Slow the heck down! Just a little longer! Buckets and truck loads of stress and negativity in this world ...
