00:22 I like Dylan Cease, but he was a white sock.

00:24 The minute he got traded to San Diego,

00:25 unfortunately the drafts where I had a shot at him,

00:28 I did not get him.

00:29 But I think you make a great point there,

00:31 which is you can pitch with a lot more confidence

00:34 with a team that's gonna score runs

00:36 and actually catch the baseball.

00:37 And that's two things right now.

00:39 It's a night and day.

00:41 Look at the last few weeks for Dylan Cease.

00:42 19 innings over his last three games.

00:44 He's two and one over that span.

00:45 25 to five strikeout to walk ratio, five to one.

00:48 I mean, it doesn't get much better than that.

00:50 A two seven ERA, a whip under one.

00:53 Dylan Cease has been absolutely fantastic.

00:56 And it's why I always said that, you know,

00:58 if this pitching can just get right,

01:00 you know, Musgrove went on the IL,

01:02 Hugh Darvish just came off the IL.

01:04 If the pitching can just be more consistent,

01:06 including Michael King,

01:07 there's a script you can write where the Padres

01:09 are a real pain in the rear end

01:11 for the rest of the National League

01:12 down the stretch of the season.

01:14 'Cause that pitching is really good.

01:15 It's not quite as good as say the Seattle Mariners

01:18 who are getting Bryce Miller, just got Brian Wu back.

01:35 It makes you wonder again,

01:37 if they can get the right offense,

01:38 if they can get hot at the right time

01:40 and healthy at the right time, what they could be.
