00:00We need James wood to come up for the Washington nationals. It's time. Eddie Rosario is hitting
00:09a buck 67 right now. We've, we've gotten it and we can't even keep up with James wood
00:16because if you look at the stats of James wood over the triple a so far this year, it's
00:21been stunning. He's giving you power. He's giving you speed. He had two more homers last
00:24night. We can't even keep track on the graphics because it just keeps on hitting homers. And
00:29I don't know what the nationals are waiting for right now, but I'll forget the service
00:32time issues and all these things like I lane Thomas is working his way back from injury.
00:37So he should be back soon. Also the nationals are actually a pretty plucky competitive team.
00:40It's the first time they were over 500, I think since 2021 in July, I think I saw that
00:45stat. I mean, that's kind of crazy when you think about it. Right. But look at what he's
00:48done so far in 2024 in the minor leagues, he has been brilliant. Five homers, 17 rubies,
00:53nine steals again, that five homers, that was seven homers. I just want to add that
00:56to it. 28 runs scored. He's hitting over three 40. He is an on base percentage of four
01:0243, something this team could desperately use. The OPS is at nine, nine, five. There's
01:08very little to prove. And it's not to say that you're not going to get these guys like
01:11Kyle Manzano, right? A guy we were talking about a few weeks ago, comes up struggles
01:16a little bit, has some strikeouts. It's going to happen. Jackson Cheerio has been struggling.
01:20Like the young players are going to happen, but they need to learn at the major league
01:23level because at a certain point, you're just spinning your wheels and triple a James
01:27Wood is spinning his wheels. There's no reason not to have them up at this point. I understand
01:31giving the veteran, you know, a good six weeks of the season to get going, but I think we've
01:37seen enough. And Jesse Winker is now, so not a bat. That's not going to maintain the pace.
01:40He started here at the beginning of April. So that's another thing that's going to come
01:43crashing down. So rather than wait for all that to happen, bring James Wood up. Now put
01:48Rosario in a situation where he's de-aging a little bit, or maybe just move on altogether
01:52because Rosario is not going to be a guy that's going to be worthy to anybody else
01:55right now. I think in major league baseball. So the future is now, if you're the Nats,
01:59CJ Abrams looks like a young star, put James Wood in that lineup too. And all of a sudden
02:03you're saying, Hey, look, we know Juan Soto is tearing the cover off the ball for the
02:07Yankees, but we do have something to show for that trade. It's Abrams, it's Wood, and
02:12we're going to be good for the next five, six years because of it.
