Ryan Reynolds blasts bureaucracy for slowing Wrexham’s stadium expansion

00:07And Reynolds says he thinks the thick bureaucracy is the biggest problem.

00:11The two are trying to expand Wrexham Stadium, which currently holds 12,600 people,

00:15but they wanted to eventually accommodate 45,000 to 55,000 fans gradually.

00:20But they say the UK bureaucracy is making it difficult.

00:23Reynolds spoke to Collider and explained that the US has more

00:26liberal planning laws compared to the UK.

00:28The UK has more protected land, stricter regulations,

00:31and requires consultations with various stakeholders for planning approval.

00:35And even after meeting these requirements, success with the plan is not guaranteed.

00:39But despite these difficulties, the Hollywood stars are hoping to find their way around

00:43the law to accommodate a growing global fan base for the Wrexham team.
