00:00 Staying pretty dull and damp for Wales, much of the Midlands and East Anglia further rain here.
00:03 But in the far south of England, it's a bit brighter than yesterday, some sunny spells
00:07 poking through. But it's definitely central and northern Scotland seeing the lion's share of the
00:12 blue sky. Another cracking day, particularly in western Scotland, where temperatures getting up to
00:17 22, maybe 23 Celsius. Compare and contrast under that dull and damp weather over the Midlands,
00:23 struggling to even get into the teens. Wet weather will continue to track its way slowly
00:29 northwards and will bring some showery rain to Northern Ireland overnight, extending more into
00:34 southern Scotland. Tending a bit drier maybe over the Midlands, certainly the rain expected to clear
00:39 through the night from East Anglia. Much of the south will have some decent clear spells,
00:43 which will allow temperatures to tumble, bringing a chilly start to the long weekend,
00:47 four or five degrees in some rural spots, maybe even a touch lower. But the cloud and the rain
00:52 will keep the temperatures up over northern England, much of Wales, Northern Ireland and
00:56 southern Scotland. It does mean for a pretty drab start to the long weekend here and many places in
01:02 this central zone will stay grey with rain on and off for most of Saturday. The rain should tend to
01:08 ease off a little bit, parts of north east England turning a little drier, certainly a brighter day
01:12 across the Midlands and south Wales tomorrow compared to today. Much of southern England,
01:17 East Anglia having sunny spells for most of Saturday, maybe just one or two showers into
01:22 the far south east later on. Yet again, the Western Highlands and the Western Isles doing pretty well
01:27 for sunshine, maybe a lot of mist and har at times around the coast of north east Scotland up towards
01:32 the Northern Isles and that will keep the temperatures down. The cloud and the outbreaks
01:36 of rain will keep the temperatures down over southern Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern
01:40 England. But a warmer feel for East Anglia and the Midlands tomorrow, 17, 18 degrees. Again,
01:46 the northwest may get up to 17 or 18, one or two places as well. So we'll continue with that mixed
01:51 weather as we go through Saturday and that will continue likely during Sunday and Monday. We'll
01:57 keep the cloud and the outbreaks of rain on and off into Saturday evening further south, mostly
02:02 fine. But notice down to the far southwest, the threat of thickening cloud and outbreaks of rain,
02:06 that's from this area of low pressure. Still some uncertainty about just how that's going to track
02:12 its way northwards. This weather front close to the south, the far south on Monday could bring
02:16 some more persistent rain here. But generally speaking, with low pressure nearby, it's going to be
02:22 a mixture of sunshine and showers this weekend. So there will be at times some pleasant warm
02:27 sunshine, probably brightening up across the north Sunday and Monday as well. But always the threat
02:32 of some showers never too far away as well. Please do keep up to date with the forecast as we go
02:38 through this long weekend. Best way to do that, of course, following us on social media or hitting
