00:00 Donald Trump announced his plans to run for president way back in 2022.
00:04 But since then, many have wondered who he would choose for a running mate.
00:07 Now, many believe Ohio Senator J.D. Vance is a front runner,
00:11 and a new report indicates he's getting very close to the Trump family.
00:15 This might come as a surprise to many,
00:17 as the freshman senator was widely critical of Donald Trump in the past.
00:21 However, recently things have changed,
00:22 and Vance's rhetoric has become more favorable towards Donald Trump.
00:26 What's more, the New York Times reports that he
00:28 and Don Jr. have been talking and texting nearly daily,
00:31 and have been spotted meeting up whenever they're in the same city.
00:34 Vance even retweeted Don Jr.'s post on X, criticizing Republican leadership in Congress,
00:40 with Vance echoing Trump's son's jab at Speaker of the House Mike Johnson,
00:44 just two days after a second House Republican co-sponsored a resolution to oust him,
00:49 with Don Jr. even telling reporters during Vance's campaign,
00:52 quote, "In the world of politics, you make a lot of acquaintances,
00:55 but there are very few actual friends. J.D. has become a close friend of mine,
01:00 and I'm a big supporter of everything he's been doing policy-wise to put America first in the
01:05 Senate." Political experts don't believe Donald Trump will announce his number two until at least
01:10 July.
