00:03 Minus 180 was the pre-draft order for 1, 2, 3, that came to fruition.
00:07 Williams, Daniels, naturally we thought this would be the top three with
00:12 Drake May going third, which he did to New England.
00:16 There was some discussion that maybe he wouldn't,
00:18 maybe New England would trade back.
00:20 Let's focus on that, let's focus on the order here.
00:24 Not a surprise going into the draft, a surprise if we did this two weeks ago.
00:29 So the odd shift ended up being correct.
00:31 >> Yeah, I think if you look at what Washington wanted in a quarterback,
00:36 you look at Cliff Kingsbury's offense.
00:38 And I think Jaden Daniels is just a better fit for that and
00:41 a little more polished right now than Drake May.
00:44 So it kind of made sense to take him and
00:46 they'll be able to use his mobility and arm talent to the best of their abilities.
00:50 Meanwhile, the Patriots, I never bought the rumors that they were gonna trade down.
00:54 I just thought they needed to get a quarterback and
00:56 they're not guaranteed if they trade down to get another one.
00:59 That turned out to be true with Penix going eight and McCarthy going ten.
01:02 So it ended up being the right move for the Patriots.
01:05 But I think Drake May is now in a good situation in New England.
01:09 I know that sounds strange, but because the Patriots have Jacoby Brissett,
01:13 they can sort of play him this year if Drake May is too raw or not ready to play.
01:18 Or if they're not confident in the offensive line and
01:20 receiving weapons they'd be putting around May, they now have some leeway with him.
01:25 So I think he's in a good spot to develop him.
01:27 Really all six of the quarterbacks, I thought,
01:29 landed in the perfect spot for their development.
01:32 And Drake May, I think, has a chance to pan out in New England because of that.
