37 year old Kurt Hourigan identified as man killed in rockfall

Investigations are underway into the tunnel collapse which crushed a 37-year old worker to death at the Ballarat gold mine. A second worker is in hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Australian Workers Union alleges unsafe drilling methods were being used and is seeking industrial manslaughter charges. The mine's operator victory minerals hasn't responded directly, but in a statement it said the death was a tragic incident and safety is the first priority.
