00:03 I got BMF tatted on my neck.
00:12 You know, it stands for Black Monfait Family.
00:14 Growing up as a kid, I used to always hear BMF, BMF.
00:18 I never knew what it meant until I got older.
00:21 I understood who my dad was.
00:23 And I was old enough to understand
00:25 why he got incarcerated.
00:27 In school, people used to come up to me all the time like,
00:30 yo, you're Big Meech, son.
00:31 I'm like, what?
00:32 Who's Big Meech?
00:34 I didn't even understand back then who my dad was.
00:36 My family just kept me grounded and kept me in the kid's place.
00:41 I kind of regret the neck tattoo ever since I became an actor
00:44 because it's so hard to cover up.
00:46 I got to come to set two, three hours early
00:48 before we start filming just to cover up all my tattoos.
00:51 And even though I love my tattoos, I'm like, man.
00:54 I have BMF right here.
00:55 And I have Death Before Dishonor right here, DB4D.
00:59 Death Before Dishonor just means before we
01:01 would be dishonorable, we would die.
01:04 I would never get anything in my face.
01:06 It's not for my career.
01:08 That's not the direction I want to go in.
01:10 BMF was my breakout role.
01:12 My dad is very proud.
01:14 So every Friday when it comes on,
01:15 he's calling me right afterwards like, man, you killed it.
01:18 He always has his input about what he thinks could be better
01:22 or how he thinks I could play a certain part better.
01:26 He loves everything about the show.
01:28 He loves the way he's being portrayed.
01:31 I got my moms right here.
01:33 I got my dad.
01:35 These are my first two tattoos.
01:37 I got these when I was like 15, 16 years old.
01:40 I love my parents so much.
01:42 I used to always think as a kid, like, I want a relationship
01:45 like how they had.
01:46 And their relationship was so close.
01:48 And I always wanted them to be the first tattoos I got.
01:51 I really think I look like my dad more than my mom.
01:54 - Would you ever get a girlfriend's name tattooed on you?
01:58 - Yes, but I would wait until we're married with kids.
02:00 You know, I wouldn't rush into it.
02:02 [upbeat music]
02:05 All of these tattoos I have,
02:06 they're mostly about my family members.
02:08 This is another name of my dad.
02:10 He calls himself Zippo.
02:11 He calls me Lil Zippo.
02:13 The shading is probably the most painful part
02:15 because they use like five to 10 needles.
02:18 Every time I go in, I have an idea of what I want to get.
02:21 I don't have an idea of how I want it to look.
02:23 So I usually talk to the artists about what he thinks
02:26 and what direction he thinks I should go in.
02:28 And I decide off of that.
02:30 I got the lion tattoo right here.
02:32 Just a symbol of him.
02:34 He calls himself the lion, the king of the jungle.
02:37 Lion probably took six hours, seven hours to do.
02:41 Inversion, crying on that one.
02:43 I got boss of all bosses right here.
02:45 My dad called himself the boss of all bosses.
02:47 And I got another tattoo right here that says
02:49 blood makes you related, loyalty makes you family.
02:53 This is a quote that my dad has always inputted in my head.
02:56 You'll meet people in this world who have more loyalty
02:59 and really be there for you without them being blood.
03:02 Last ones I got was of my mother and my father's name,
03:10 my collarbone on the side of my neck.
03:12 This one is Zaza, Z-A-S-A.
03:15 And the godfather, Joey Zaza, was one of the mob bosses.
03:19 My dad had a lot of names, Zippo, Zaza, Meach.
03:22 Longest to heel was probably by my elbows.
03:25 My neck and the side, these are all covered up all the time.
03:27 You know, since I wear clothes,
03:29 these are out, exposed to the sunlight and everything.
03:32 It kind of burns when you're going through that process.
03:34 Burns in the sunlight, when you get in the shower,
03:37 anything you do.
03:38 Maybe later down the line, I'll do my legs,
03:41 you know, 'cause I live in Miami,
03:42 so I get to wear them shorts to show off my legs.
